A green canopy overhead, the gentle breeze ruffling your hair and the sweet chirping of birds comprise the welcoming committee of Christ Junior College campus.
The moment you set foot in it. The ambience of the campus has led to its selection for the Best Campus Award by the Bangalore Urban Art Commission for four consecutive years. A recent feather in its cap is it winning the award for Best Ornamental Garden by the Mysore Horticultural Society. Along with a vast and beautiful campus, we also possess various infrastructural amenities to make the students' learning experience a brilliant one. The credit for the ‘clean and green’ campus at CHRIST owes itself to the Parivarthana Unit- the decentralized, waste-management unit in the campus of CHRIST(Deemed to be University). The unit ensures an organized effort in proper waste-management practices by converting the campus into a ‘zero-waste’ campus by recycling all materials that it can. The verticals of Parivarthana include waste management, paper recycling unit, water treatment plant, biogas and SHG at Parivarthana (Self Help Group).
One of the 21st century skills is the use of technology in Education. To make the teaching-learning process an interactive one, lessons are created using interactive presentations through both online and offline resources. These provide a student a rich audio-video learning experience.
The Science subjects have separate hours of practical sessions for which modern, well-equipped laboratories are made available on campus. There are two laboratories each for Physics, Chemistry and Biology and one for Electronics and Computer Science. The laboratories are constructed in a student friendly manner for optimum usage by the pupils.
Main Auditorium & Auditorium II - One of the largest state-of-the-art auditoriums in the city with a seating capacity for two thousand people at a time, the Main Auditorium is the venue for august occasions like the inauguration of the academic year, inter-collegiate fests, college day and graduation day, career guidance and Founder’s Day. We also have a quaditorium - a quadrangle with an auditorium facility where we conduct our general assemblies, cultural programmes by the various classes and other events.
We have a diverse student body at Christ Junior College and in order to meet their banking needs. We have a branch of the South Indian Bank in the campus with an ATM facility. Parents can also avail its services, if required.
We believe that it is important for all to be able to spend quiet time in the presence of the Almighty. As holistic education is what we aspire to deliver, we also have a prayer hall for our students to spend time in prayer and meditation.
Basketball courts, football ground, throw ball and volleyball courts, a fine cricket pitch and facilities for indoor games like table tennis - all the sports requirements of our students are met at Christ Junior College.
Food and good company are what every student enjoys. We have in the college, spaces where students can relish both in a healthy and hygienic environment. The Cafeteria, Food court, Ivy Hall, Kiosk and the Gourmet Hall are some of the popular eat outs at our college. The college also has a pure drinking water facility on each floor. The Ivy and Gourmet Halls also have stalls for stationery, books, confectionaries, photocopying and Desktop Publishing.
